Recently the Alzheimer's CURE Foundation started a separate account with the intention of creating a Scholarship Fund. Once we raise a minimum of $50,000 for this purpose, we will start giving out scholarships to students who meet our requirements. For a student to qualify for a scholarship, the student must be, first and foremost, a high Academic achiever who is studying - or will go on to study - to become a neurologist or neuroscientist.
If a choice has to be made between 2 students where all else is equal (equally strong Academically and an equal benefit to Alzheimer's their career-path will provide), the student with the bigger financial need will be the recipient of the scholarship.
The Alzheimer's CURE Foundation Scholarship Fund will serve as one more avenue to accelerate the cure for Alzheimer's disease and in the meantime making sure that victims of Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative diseases are getting optimum care.
To donate specifically towards the Alzheimer's CURE Foundation Scholarship Fund, please make sure your check is made out to the Alzheimer's CURE Foundation, Inc. and in the "For" line, you may designate "Scholarship Fund".
Should you decide to donate through PayPal, please make sure you send an email to info@alzcure.org with all your contact information and stating that the $xxx amount donated through PayPal is to be applied specifically for the Alzheimer's CURE Foundation Scholarship Fund. Please note money donated specifically towards this program will only be used for the Scholarship Fund, except for the interest which will be used for our Educational Programs, Community Outreach and other expenses.
