Effie Marie Lascarides – Founder/President/Director/CEO – is an accomplished journalist/editor-in-chief and published author who resides in Rhode Island and is the Founder of the Alzheimer's CURE Foundation, Inc. Ms. Lascarides' book, "Apollo’s Legacy", was published in December of 2000 by Hellenic College Press. Prior to her founding the Alzheimer's CURE Foundation, Effie Marie was a Development and Communications Manager for another non-profit organization. more

Dr. Teni Boulikas, PhD, - Director – Dr. Teni Boulikas is Editor of "Cancer Therapy" and "Gene Therapy and Molecular Biology" that can be accessed freely on the web sites Cancer-Therapy.org and gtmb.org. Dr. Boulikas is also the Founder/Chairman of the International Society for Gene Therapy and Molecular Biology and was a candidate for the 2006 Nobel Prize in medicine for his discoveries in the successful treatment of cancer. Among his many noted accomplishments is the discovery of Lipoplatins (liposomal cisplatin, Phase III clinical trials), LipoVIL12 (a liposomal virus expressing the human IL-12 gene, Phase II), Lipoxal (liposomal oxaliplatin, Phase II), Rubixol (liposomal doxorubicin able to fuse with the membrane of the tumor cell, preclinical stage), liposomal paclitaxel and of numerous 4th generation liposomal drugs and liposomal peptides. The liposomal plasmids and liposomal viruses as carriers of therapeutic genes, discovered by Dr. Boulikas, are able to target tumors and metastases, inflammatory arteries and arthritic joints. more

Nancy Bacon (CPA) – Director – is a CPA with over 20 years experience in public accounting and private practice. She worked in public accounting for over 4 years. In the private sector, Nancy has been employed by Trafalgar House, Inc., a US corporate office with approximately 25 subsidiaries where she performed both accounting and tax functions as well as worked on various financial analysis and special projects. Subsequent to that, she joined Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi Capital Corporation (BTM Capital). more

Antoinette Cakouros – Director – has been a Professor of Theatre at California State University of Sacramento in California since 1977, teaching Acting of all levels, Oral Expression of Literature, Movement, Opera Workshop and Theatre classes for Education Majors. She also developed a course in Drama Therapy for the Professional School of Psychology. As an actress, choreographer, director and writer, she has explored the complex and liberating processes that drama brings as its gift. Professor Cakouros believes theatre to be a healing art – sacred and potent – invaluable for psychodynamic therapy as well as the stage. more
